Thanks to the generosity of many kind donors, the Bugzi Loan Scheme gave away the second batch of 10 Bugzies to their new owners on Saturday 2nd November 2013 at the QEF Mobility Centre Christmas Fayre & Bugzi Handover event.
The Mayor of Sutton kindly gave his time to come and present certificates to the new Bugzi drivers and the excited kids got to take their Bugzies home for the first time. Having a Bugzi is a life-changing experience for the children as it gives them independent mobility, often for the first time in their lives! It’s also a fantastic experience for the parents and families to know that their children now have access to the opportunities available to ambulant children.
The donors of this second round of Bugzi loans include Reed Business Information, The Victoria Foundation, The Funding Network, Hilton in the Community Foundation and the exceedingly kind Mr & Mrs Fry. Funding for at least another 8 Bugzies has been secured so the scheme will be expanding substantially over the next few months.
