As a small token of our appreciation the fabulous volunteers of both QEF and MERU were invited for a Strawberry Tea Party in the stunnning grounds of Losely Park, Guildford on Wednesday 11th September.
Everyone was given the opportunity to view the gardens, tour The Great Hall as well as enjoy strawberries, cream and plenty of cake in the beautiful Tithe Barn. We were blessed with good weather and many of us learned a new sport…croquet!
Both QEF and MERU have had a very exciting 2013 so far with a number of successful events including the Bugzi Giveaway and Community Games at the Mobility Centre, Open Day at MERU, a new shop opening in Walton as well as a Spring Ladies Lunch with Fern Britton, Show Garden at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and fundraising dinner with Monty Don. MERU also relies on a hardworking team of volunteers who come to our Workshop Team sessions every Tuesday evening to help us manufacture our Ready-made products.
All these different activities as well as those important everyday tasks would not have been possible without the involvement and support of our hardworking and dedicated volunteers.
